Maria Banda, 85, of Angleton passed away Friday, January 1, 2010 in a Houston hospital. Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 4th in the Palms Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Lanier officiating. Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4-6 at Palms.
Mrs. Banda was born October 14, 1924 in Yorktown, Texas to Catarino & Refugia Alvarado Silguero & enjoyed going bask to the “Old Homeplace’ in Yorktown to visit. A long time Angleton resident she was a member of Trinity Christian Center. She loved sewing, gardening, her flower beds & cooking for her family when they were all together for Christmas & family meals.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, her Husband; Ventera Banda, Son; John Banda & Daughter; Eva Martinez.
Survivors include her Sons; Raymondo Banda of Angleton, Raynaldo Banda & wife Ava of Rosharon, Robert Banda & wife Ruth of Angleton, Tony Banda & wife Sandy of Alvin & Richard Banda & wife Misty of Angleton.
Brothers; Angelo Silguero & Amador Silguero both of Angleton & Ray Silguero of Austin. Sister; Janie Silguero of Angleton
10 Grandchildren & 10-Great-Grandchildren
Pallbearers will be Ramsey Martinez, Gregory Banda, Mike Christian, Mark Garza, Brian Banda & John Simmons
