In Loving Memory of

Scott Turner Goodman

August 23, 1964 - June 6, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Scott Turner Goodman, who was called home after his battle with cancer.

Scott was born on August 23, 1964, in Dunoon, Scotland to Bobby & Georgina Goodman. When he was 11 years old, his family moved to Texas where he would eventually build a life centered on family, friendship, and hard work.

Scott was the devoted husband of Paula Goodman for 27 years. She consistently reminded him that he gave the very best hugs, that she will now miss everyday until they meet again. This is a true reflection of the warmth, comfort, and love he shared so freely with those around him.

He leaves behind his loving children: Fallon Ramirez, Joshua Ramirez (Josette), McKenzie Goodman (Grant), and Scott Goodman II (Natalie). He was a proud grandfather to Joseph Ramirez and beloved brother to George Goodman (Renee) and Michael Reynolds.

Scott also cherished all his in-laws, as well as many nephews and nieces, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

Scott had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found great joy in hunting, scuba diving, and fishing. Whether beneath the water, in a boat, or in the woods, he felt most at home surrounded by nature. Above all else, his greatest passion was spending time with his family and creating memories with those he loved.

Scott dedicated 38+ years to HL&P and CenterPoint Energy, where he built lasting friendships and earned the respect of his coworkers through hard work, and commitment. He remained dedicated to his career even as health challenges eventually led him to retire.

Scott will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, sense of humor, vast knowledge, detailed storytelling and unwavering love for his family. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories he created and the lives he touched will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
