Alan Neil McDougald, 82, of Angleton passed away on May 24, 2026.

Neil began his life journey on November 14, 1943, in Lufkin to his parents Edward and Opia Jane (Truss) McDougald.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict.

He married Kaew Boonprasop on November 24, 1979 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Those that preceded him in death include parents, Edward and Opia Jane (Truss) McDougald and brother Fred McDougald.

Left to treasure his memory are his wife of 46 years, Kaew McDougald, brother Joe Ed McDougald, daughter Kassandra McDougald and grandson Jacob Carrasco, son Archie McDougald, daughter Angela and her husband Bobby Montondo and grandchildren Zach and Macy Montondo, daughter Natalie and her husband Dustin Oden and grandchildren Trinity Tyson and Miles Oden, stepdaughter Juthasinee Thaiyanusorn and grandson Collin Davies.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service following at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 1, 2026, at Palms Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Angleton Cemetery.
