Mildred Lee Follett Easton

Mildred Easton, 86 of Yoakum, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2010 in Houston.

Mildred was born December 26, 1923 to John and Fannie Ryan Follett in Houston, Texas.

Mrs. Easton was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Yoakum, The Columbia Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, and a past matron and 50 year member of the Angleton Chapter54 Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Easton was also a member of the Yoakum Literary Club, The Philomathic Club, Garden Gate Club, Friends of the Library, Gonzales Chapter of the D.R.T., Yoakum Heritage Museum, The United Methodist Women and the Yoakum Community Hospital Auxiliary.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Oza A. Easton, Jr., parents and sister, Mary Catherine Brown.

She leaves behind many loved ones, including her children, Don E. Easton, Dianne E. Moore (Skip); grandchildren, Kellie Moore Biggs (Aaron), Brett Moore (Ashley), Donald Easton, Jr.(Danica) and Robert Easton(Amber); great grandchildren, Hunter Vermillion, Brittany Vermillion, Haley Vermillion, Caden Moore, Taylor Biggs, Davin Easton, Noah Easton, Lilliah Easton and Laken Easton; sister, Fannie Mae Gilbert; and brother, John A. Follett, Jr.

Visitation will be Monday, January 11, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 12th at 10:00 a.m. at Angleton Cemetery with Pastor Nora Fitch.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the First United Methodist Church of Yoakum or a charity of your choice.
