Services for R. D. “Bob” Jernigan, 69, of Brazoria will be held Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Gilliam Cemetery in Briggs, Texas.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January, 20, 2010 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Palms Funeral Home.
Bob, a resident of Brazoria for the past 20 years, was born March 7, 1940 in Lampasas, Texas to Eugene and Edna Jernigan and passed away Sunday, January 18, 2010 in Lake Jackson. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, worked for Chemical Lerman as a dispatcher for 10 years and was retired from the Port of Houston.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and brother; Kelly Eugene Jernigan. He is survived by his wife of over 34 years, Deborah Jernigan of Brazoria, son; Jeffrey Jernigan and wife Katy of Deer Park, daughter; Jennifer Jernigan Sembera and husband, Adolph of Angleton, brother; William Calvin Jernigan of Brazoria, grandchildren, Emily Sembera, Brittany Murray, Courtney Sembera, Louis Sembera, Lexee Church and Shane Moore.
