Laurie Spencer Poland

Laurie Spencer Poland, age 54, passed away on July 30, 2008 after a lengthy illness. She was born on October 4, 1953 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to John and Lillian Spencer. Laurie was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren, and her parents, especially her father in his later years.
Laurie was preceded in death by her parents and son, Mathew Poland.
She is survived by her husband, John Poland of Sweeny TX , sons, Kevin Poland and wife, Trina of Lake Jackson TX, Joseph Poland of Sweeny TX, brothers, John Spencer of Cypress TX, Stuart Spencer of Cypress TX, grandsons, Joshua Poland and Nicholas Poland.
The visitation will be held on Friday August 1, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, young children and babies are encouraged to attend. Graveside services will be held Saturday August 2, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Angleton Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Stuart Spencer, Johnny Spencer, Kevin Poland, Joseph Poland, Michael Spencer, Travis Spencer, and Tyler Spencer.
