Rodger Williams, 65 of Angleton passed away Thursday,February 18, 2010.
Rodger was born October 24, 1944 in Burnet County, Texas to Willie & Martha Williams. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse and Paint Horse Associations. He enjoyed riding horses, roping, hunting and riding his gator. Rodger loved to spend time with his family and bar-b-q for his friends.
Rodger was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Wanda Stiles.
He leaves behind many loved ones, including his wife, Lori Williams; son, Quinton Williams and wife Lisa; daughter, Tannah Solis and husband Jerry; grandchildren, Cody Williams, Justina Solis, Seth Williams, Jessica Williams and Jared Solis; brothers, Bill Williams and wife Verna, Mike Williams; and brother-in-law, Ray Stiles.
Visitation will be held Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Palms Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 22nd at 10:00 a.m. at Palms Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd in Burnet, Texas in the Mahomet Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Seth Williams, Cody Williams, Jared Solis, Kent Williams, Jeremy Merriman, Carlos Cadena, George Perez and Scott Williamson. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Oliver, Gary Lennon, W.A. Foley and Johnny Green.
