Margaret “Margie” Uribe

Margaret “Margie” Uribe, 82 of Clute went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 13, 2009.
She was born July 31, 1927 to Tioflio and Guadalupe Moreno in Houston, Texas. She was the second of six children. She was married to Henry “Kiki” Uribe for 44 years before his death in 1994.
Known affectionately as MoMo to those who knew and loved her, she never met a stranger. She had a kind and generous spirit. She was an avid sports fan-never losing faith in her favorite team, the Houston Astros. MoMo worked in food service at Brazosport College for 17 years and Brazosport High School for 12 years where she found joy in working with the kids. She was known as “Mom” by her co-workers and “Grandma” by the kids she served. It was this work in which she found fulfillment up until her retirement 5 years ago.
Outside of her work, MoMo found enjoyment in her regular weekend routines. On Saturdays, she has a standing hair appointment and then a trip to Walmart to visit friends there. Each Saturday she could be found in the pews of St. Jerome’s Catholic Church where she was a long standing member.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Those left behind to cherish her memory are, sons; David Uribe & Becky of Clute &
Daniel Uribe, daughers; Rose Ann Uribe-Sage & husband James of Arlington & Mary Esther Sisneroz & husband Jesse of Angleton, brother; Miguel Corona, sister; Molly Sosa & husband Jimmy, grandchildren;, Joe Jesse Sisneroz, Jr, Jerry Sisneroz, Eric Ammerman, James Sage, Jr., Ariel Sage, Amanda Uribe, Maggie Uribe, David Uribe, Jr., Veronica Uribe & Cindy Kaufman, 17 Great-Grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews & other family members.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, her husband of 44 years Henry Uribe, Jr.,
step-dad; Marcelino Corona, great-grandson; Jacob Todd Sisneroz, sisters; Nettie Moreno, Josie Corona & brother; Manuel Moreno.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 15, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home
A Funeral Mass to celebrate her life will be held at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church, Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Restwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be; Jesse Sisneroz, Jr., Jerry Sisneroz, James Sage, Freddy Moreno, Jr, Michael Moreno, Larry McDonald & Matthew Jones. Honorary Pallbearers will be Eric Ammerman & E.A. Moreno
