John Howard Jones

John Howard Jones, 74, of Richwood passed away Friday, March 5, 2010 at his residence. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2010 at Palms Funeral Home Chapel.
John was born October 17, 1935 in Rusk, Texas to Eldon and Mary Jones. He was a master mason and 50 year member of Angleton Masonic Lodge #829 AF & AM. John had a 31 year career with Dow Chemical, starting at GRP and after several assignments, finishing his career in the Marine Department as Dock Master. He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother as well as his two brothers Thomas Jones and Walter Jones.
Survivors include his wife Janie Marie Jones, his sons Ken Jones and wife Cindy, Larry Jones and wife Pauline, and David Jones and wife Cassie. He is also survived by his stepsons Kenneth Sutton, Jr. and wife Cheryl, Keith Sutton and wife Stacie, Kristopher Sutton and wife Heather, Keir Sutton and wife Tammy; grandchildren, Chris Kroupa, Brandon Jones, Jenala Moody and husband Matt, Andy and wife Misty, Chris and Kirstin Jones, Lana and Shawn Thrash, Payton and Jaden Hull, Jennifer Burhands and Paula Stayton, Stuart Jones, Cara and husband Clint Smith, Eric Sutton, Blaine Sutton, Dustin Sutton, Dyllon Sutton, Parker Sutton, Taylor Sutton, Bryer Sutton, Abigail Sutton, and Keira Sutton; great-grandchildren, Rayna, Patyon, Jaden, Anglique and Christian.
John was a wonderful man, loved by all and being the avid gardener, he and the Good Lord could grow some wonderful tomatoes that he shared with everyone. John leaves behind many wonderful friends. Hospice did a wonderful job in taking care of him and his family, especially Sue, Michelle, and Vashiti (Ms. Vee).
