Neta Moore Reed

Neta Moore Reed, of Clute, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Brazosport Regional Healthcare Hospital.
Funeral services will be 1:00 Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Palms Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Art Parra, Pastor of Wesley First United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, January 8th at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton.
Mrs. Reed was born to Edgar Moore & Rilla Coursey Moore on July 17, 1920 in Kingsland, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Allen “Bill” Reed, in 1995 after 54 years of marriage. Also preceding her in death was a son, Billy Reed, a sister Eula Grimes & two brothers; Bill Moore & Tom Moore.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Fitzgerald of Houston, a son Ronnie Reed & wife Marketia of Marble Falls, Texas, grand-daughter; Lisa Wall of Katy, grandsons; Ron Reed & wife Sharon (Beetsie) of Angleton, Stephen Reed & wife Margie of Round Rock, great-grandchildren Aaron, Aleck & Kara Wall and Sequoia Reed.
Three step-grand-daughters; Maegan Boone Pantalion, Mandy Boone & Lauren Pulley.
Sisters; Mozelle Boultinghouse of Cherokee, Tx, twin sister Leta Dinwiddie of Llano, Texas, Ruth Auth & husband Harry of San Antonio, Rebecca Birdwell & husband Arthur of Clifton, Texas as well as nieces, nephews, cousins & wonderful neighbors.
Mrs. Reed was an assistant librarian at Clute Library for 14 years. She was an active member at Wesley First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Reed was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed by her family & friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Wesley United Methodist Church of Clute.
