Shawn Kevin Heffernan, 51, of Angleton passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2010.
Funeral Mass is set for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Geiger Cemetery in Sublime.
Visitation will be Friday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. with Rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a Christian Wake at 5:00 p.m. at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Shawn was born November 6, 1958 in Angleton to John and Opal Heffernan. He was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 5155 & Pipefitters Local 390. Shawn was an avid hunter, fisherman and dog breeder and trainer. He was also a licensed AKC Field Trial Judge.
Shawn was preceded in death by his father, John Heffernan; grandparents, Wilfred and Pearl Heffernan Sr, Grover and Leona Dowell, Eunice and Sam Judd and Moses and Rumalda Maestas and brothers-in-law, Ronald and Henry Sanchez.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Heffernan; mother, Opal Heffernan; sons, Joshua Kevin Heffernan and John Arthur Heffernan all of Angleton; sisters, Joan Derrick and husband, David, of Friendswood, Sharon Peterson and husband, Butch, of Danbury, Bridget Amos and husband, Robert, of Angleton and Molly Mitchell and husband, Dr. William Mitchell, of McKinney; mother and father-in-law, Arthur and Sylvia Judd of Rosharon and sister-in-law, Deborah Orr of Angleton; brother-in-law, Stephen Judd of Rosharon.
Pallbearers will be Shawn’s nephews Clayton Barnes, John Peterson, Jason Barnes, Matthew Mitchell, Jacobi Orr, Nathan Mitchell, Nicholas Sanchez, Ryan Mitchell and Payton Judd.
Honorary Pallbearers will be his nieces Lauren Peterson, Jessica Orr, Elizabeth Dragga, Lauren Judd, Taylor Judd, Meredith Amos, Kathleen Amos and friends, Charlie and Joe McCormick.
In lieu of usual remembrances, the family request donations to the Shawn Heffernan Memorial Fund at Compass bank.
