Raul Edio Rivera, Sr.

Raul Edio Rivera, Sr., 54 of Angleton went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 5, 2010.

Raul was born January 13, 1956 in La Feria, Texas to Candelario and Esther Garcia Rivera.
He loved watching football, especially his Dallas Cowboys. Raul enjoyed his career as a truck driver and the many trips he made cross country.

Raul was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Garcia Rivera.

He leaves behind many loved ones to cherish his memory including his wife, Angela “Guerra” Rivera; sons, Raul E. Rivera, Jr. (Caitlin), Edward Rivera (Alma); daughters, Andrea Contreras (Amando), Alejandra Michelle Rivera, Angela Rivera (Hank), Adriana “Adri” Rivera and Krystal Rivera; brothers, Daniel Rivera(Genoveva), Candelario Rivera (Lupita), Pete Rivera (Carmen); sisters, Matilde Villarel(Guadalupe), Rosa M. Garcia (Guadalupe), Elizabeth Rodriguez (Isidro), Esther Flores (Javier) and Josefina Hinojosa (Mike); grandchildren, Brittney, Little Eddie, Savannah, Jonathan, Kendra and Michael.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 7, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, February 8th at 10:00 a.m. at Palms Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Angleton Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Raul Rivera, Jr., Edward Rivera, Daniel Rivera, Michael A. Garcia, Mike Hinojosa and Pete Rivera, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Amando Contreras, Hank “Buck” Giesecke, Edward Rivera, II, Jonathan Rivera and Alberto Arechiga.
