Jaime “Jim” Contreras, 40 of Angleton, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Friday, January 8, 2010, after a tragic automobile accident.
Jaime was born September 17, 1969 to Anselmo “Sam” and Irene Contreras. He graduated from Angleton High School in 1988. He was a dedicated employee at Used Car Factory in Brazoria.
Jaime was a kind and loving son, brother and uncle. He was a sincere and genuine man, who was a friend to all. He was one that never met a stranger and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone. Jaime truly will be missed by many.
Jaime leaves behind many loved ones to cherish his memory including his parents, Anselmo “Sam” and Irene Contreras; five sisters, Olga Contreras Strickfaden, Mary Moreno (Sammy), Betty Mendieta (Ray Morante), Violet Lemons (Kevin), and Rosa Kucera (Keith); his brother and best friend, Anselmo Contreras, Jr.; and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. “Uncle Jim” was nurturing, caring and loving to all his nieces and nephews, Ed and Kelly House, Ashley and Andrew Moreno, Lissa Mendieta, Tiffany and Cecily Morante, Tori and Austin Lemons, Joshua and Zane Wollam, Ivy Contreras, Kadee Morrow and great nephew, Aaron House.
Jim’s Family will welcome visitors to Palms Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 13th at 10:00 a.m. at Palms Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Lanier officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ed House, Josh Wollam, Andrew Moreno, Jason Lantrip, Bubba Corley, Ken Corley Sr., Roger Bowman, Freddy Contreras, Asencion (Shawn) Contreras, Vu Pham, Justin Gravel and Roy Estrada.
