James Carl Crocker, 88, of Clute passed away Monday, January 11, 2010 in Angleton.
Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 14, 2010 in the Palms Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services are set for 3:00 p.m. at Olivia Cemetery in Olivia, Texas. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Palms
Mr. Crocker was born April 25, 1921 to James Ira & Martha Blount Crocker in Bruce, Mississippi. He served with the Merchant Marines during WWII and was a retired truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers; Glen & Clyde Crocker, son-in-law; Timothy Eugene Tidwell & granddaughter; Kathryn Jo Troppy
Survivors include his wife; Gwen Crocker of Clute,
Children; Phyllis Tidwell of Angleton, Kerry Jean Troppy (Rodgers) of Raymonville, James (Lynda) Crocker of Tomball & JoAnn Stephens of Bertram.
Grandchildren; T.J. Tidwell (Lynn) of College Station, Holly Risinger (Brent) of Angleton, PFC Brian Tidwell, US Army, Iraq, Justin Lynch, Kaci Lynch both of Angleton, Hank Troppy of McAllen, Jim Crocker of Houston & Jana Kay of Montgomery, Kim, Craig, Angie & Luke all of Houston.
Great-Grandchildren; Aidan & Makenzie Risinger, Corgan, Jessica, Trace Jade, Brenna, Blake, McKade & Katelyn.
Pallbearers will be; T.J. Tidwell, Brent Risinger, PFC Brian Tidwell represented by Austin Biard, Justin Lynch, Nathan, Lynch, Hank Troppy, Jim Crocker, Eugene Crocker Honorary pallbearers will be; Ivan Wright, Neil Ammerman, Vernon Garner, Bob Baker, C.E. James, Aidan Risinger, Brian Tidwell & Evens Blane Crocker.
