Nolberto E.Villarreal, 91 of Angleton, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family.
Nolberto was born June 6, 1918 in Tivoli, Texas to Andrea & Manuel Villarreal. He was a WW II Veteran and a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #5155.
He loved family gatherings, and entertained himself playing cards, especially solitaire.
He also enjoyed spending time with his Chihuahuas, Canela and Chiquita.
Nolberto was preceded in death by his wife, Marcelina, sons; Andrew & Jose Villarreal; grandsons; Roberto Y. Villarreal, Jr. and Jerrod Gutierrez, and Granddaughter Jaelie Marie Villarreal. His parents and siblings also preceded him in death.
Survivors include his children, Clara Zavala & husband Max, Rosa Villarreal, Mary Ann Ng & husband Wegin, Angie Acevedo, Biatrice Villanueva & husband Andres,
Soila Gutierrez & husband Mauro, Adela Villarreal & husband Rigoberto Velez,
Manuel Villarreal & wife Vickie, Juan Villarreal, Nolberto Villarreal, Jr. & wife Mary,
Roberto Villarreal & wife Nellie, Jesus Villarreal & wife Alejandra, Carlos Villarreal & wife Wanda, daughters-in-law, Angie Villarreal and Brenda Villarreal; 51 grandchildren; 121 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Angleton, 1713 North Tinsley from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Monday, November 30th at 1:00 p.m. at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Angleton Cemetery.
Pallbearers are sons Manuel, Juan, Nolberto Jr., Roberto, Jesus and Carlos Villarreal.
The Villarreal family would like to thank IPH hospice, especially Odie Martinez and Chaplain Pam Taylor who were very instrumental in helping the family through this difficult time. The Villarreal Family would also like to thank Father Robert (Bob) Duggan, Father Jamie Abercrombie from Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and Father Leo and Father. Marty from St. Michael’s Catholic Church for all their prayers and visits while our Dad was in the hospital and at home.
A special thank you to Dinorah (Silba) Garcia for the 15 years she cared for our Dad, as his home health provider.
