Wilma Jean (Britcher) Parkinson, 85, of Lake Jackson passed away on February 3, 2022. Wilma was born on March 21, 1936 in Cushing, Oklahoma to parents Clayton and Lisha (Roland) Britcher. For all who knew Wilma, she had 3 loves: George Jones, Elvis, and her Red Mustang. Wilma enjoyed her time country dancing and square dancing. She enjoyed the friendship of others most. That's why she loved her job at Kohl's in the jewlery department, because she may not have sold a lot, but she made many friends. She worshipped at the First Baptist Church in Lake Jackson. Those that preceded her in death include her parents Clayton and Lisha Britcher, and husbands Daniel Spaulding and Dan Parkinson; her daughter Danielle (Della) Jordan; brothers Gary Potter and Ronny Barnes; and sister Patsy Deinies. Loved ones left to treasure her memory include daughter Rita Spaulding of Angleton, Texas and son Rex Spaulding and wife Amy of Angleton, Texas. Her Grandchildren; Kelsi Orsak, Cory Spaulding, Taylor Spaulding, Ashby Spaulding, Danielle Jordan, and Desir Hendricks. She had seven great grandchildren: Ralynn Bryant, Charley Ma Givens, Kallie Boser, Korrie Boser, Alexis Jordan, Charlie Mae Spaulding, and Rhey Noah Myers. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm Thursday, February 10, 2022, with the funeral service following at 1:00 pm at Palms Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Old Columbia Cemetery in West Columbia. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Lake Jackson SPCA or to the First Baptist Church of Lake Jackson. Service Details.
