William 'Bill' Allen Gatrell

William "Bill" A. Gatrell William "Bill" A. Gatrell, 70 of Angleton passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013. William was born October 7, 1943 to William & Elizabeth Gatrell in Akron, OH. A Graveside Service is scheduled for Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 2:15 pm at Houston National Cemetery. A public visitation will be held Wednesday October 16, 2013 from 11-12:00pm at Palms Funeral Home. Bill is Survived by his wife of 50 years Violet "VI" Gatrell, son; Gator Gatrell and wife Dawn, daughter; Billie Jo Gray and husband Jim, siblings; Sandra Jo Reynolds, Robert Reed Gatrell, Cindy Reynolds and Jim Gatrell, grandchildren; Brittnee Leija and husband Luis, Gregg Gatrell and wife Liz, Steven Gatrell and wife Kristina and Jamie Gray, great grandchildren; Gavin Gatrell, Olivia Leija, Blake Gatrell and Lola Leija. He was preceded in death by his parents, and stepmother Mable Gatrell. Bill was a member of the Brazoria County Honor Guard, a member of the VFW, DAV and American Legion. He was very patriotic and always wore Red, White & Blue. He also held 3 Speed boat records that were in the Guinness Book of World Records.
