Weldon Merton Mcdaniel

Weldon Merton McDaniel, 78, of Brazoria, Texas passed away peacefully at his home on February 8, 2016. He was born May 11, 1937 to John Weldon & Thelma (Sullivan) McDaniel in Frankston, Texas. Per Mr. McDaniel's wishes there will be no services. Instead, the family requests that you remember Merton as "The guy who never met a stranger." He was a loving husband and father, someone who loved to fish, hunt, play guitar, and garden. Merton was an avid football fan and favorite teams were the Houston Oilers & Texans. He was preceded in death by his parents; John Weldon & Thelma (Sullivan) McDaniel, his step-dad, R.J. French, and his sister, Billie Holden. Left to cherish Merton's memory is his loving wife, Barbara (Amason) McDaniel, his two sons; Clinton & Larry McDaniel, one brother, Jackie Ray McDaniel, and his two sisters; Nancy Hager & Opal Holden.
