Uncle Joey

Joey Davenport, Jr. (Uncle Joey), 72, of Angleton passed away on March 3, 2024. Joey was born on October 17, 1951, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to Clarence J. Davenport, Sr. and Evelyn (Smith) Davenport. Joey was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle and Friend.

Joey enjoyed playing pool, singing karaoke and taking everyone's money at the card table.

Those that preceded him in death include his wife, Lee Ann Davenport; Son, Joey Davenport; Parents; sister, Marsha Logue and Granddaughter Ashley Kitchell.

Left to treasure his memory are his daughters: L’Donna Berryhill of Anchorage, AK, Samantha Gore-Love and Husband Chris of Rush Springs, OK, Jenny Cady and Husband Jimmy of Texas City, TX And Julie Davenport of Mandeville, LA. Sons: Cary Gore, Jr and Wife Mellanie of Duncan, OK and Kyle Gore of Weatherford, OK; Brother Steve Davenport and wife Pam of Franklinton, LA; Grandchildren: Chelsea, Paige, Brandon, Logan, Lacey, Macie, Jace, Brittany, Destiny, Cody, Kylie, Lillian, Kyle Jr, Tristan and Jacquelynn; and Greatgrandchildren: Ryker, Troy, Isabella, Annalise, Kambri and Kinsley; and Special Friend Joan McCollum.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Palms Funeral Home with Pastor David Catoe officiating.
