Sylvia Longoria Castillo

Sylvia Longoria Castillo, 66, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025. She was born on February 11, 1959, in Falfurrias, Texas to Regino and Irma Benavidez Longoria.

Sylvia was passionate about helping others and was a loving woman throughout her life.

She is survived by her husband, Lauro “Larry” Castillo, her sons, Phillip Ortiz, Joel Castillo & wife Adelena, and Marcos Castillo; grandchildren, Javier Castillo and Adrian Castillo; siblings, Leticia Longoria, Gabriela Johnson, Elizabeth Garcia, Susan Hernandez, Javier Longoria, and Victor Hernandez, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton.
