Shirley Ann (Novak) Owens

Shirley Ann (Novak) Owens, 90, of Angleton passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on March 1, 2026. Shirley was born on June 30, 1935, in Angleton to Adolph Edward and Caroline (Stavinoha) Novak. She married Harold Owens on June 21,1953 in Danbury at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Harold Owens, parents Adolph and Carrie Novak, siblings Lorene Peterson, Elsie Shuman, Robert Novak, Henry Novak and Allen Joe Novak and grandson Nathan Owens and granddaughter-in-law Julie Weise.

Left to treasure her memory are her children Douglas Owens, Joell (Glen) Weise, Jeffery (Terri) Owens.

Grandchildren, Chris (Shonda)Weise, Geoff (Megan)Weise and Jennifer Hallett. Great grandchildren Jack and Owen Weise, Remy and River Weise, Connor and Brett Hallett.

And numerous other family members and friends.

The family would also like to thank our mom’s loving Nurse and caregivers Debra, Elva and Felecia with IPH Hospice for the care and support they provided.

Visitation and Rosary will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with the Mass starting at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Danbury. Interment will follow at Danbury Cemetery.
