Shawn David Jones

Shawn David Jones, born December 18, 1973, 52 of Angleton passed away on July 23, 2026, surrounded by his family. Shawn was a member of the 1992 class at Angleton High School. Shawn loved living life. Shawn loved his family, loved to make you laugh, loved to hunt and fish, play his guitar and he would often help others in need. Shawn was known to encourage others. Throughout his treatment from beginning to end he would encourage fellow patients and every staff member he encountered.

Shawn is preceded in death by his dad, Royce William “Bud” Jones, grandfather, John William Jones, grandmother Carylon Lavetta Jones and stepfather Auther Allen Morrow.

Shawn is survived by his wife, Melissa Jones, stepdaughter, Shelby Shilinga, bonus daughters, Cameron Sparks (Tim) and Madisyn Duarte, mother, Pat Morrow, sister, Karla White (Dan), brother, Royce Isbell (Tracy), brother Josh Jones (Jennifer), and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Palms Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 pm. Burial will be at Angleton Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Royce Isbell, Josh Jones, Justin Reid, Colby Jones, Hagen Reid, Evan White and Damon Childress.
