Shawn was a leader all through life, He, Dean and cousins Scott and Stacey were double-first cousins that made the family unique. Then with the help of other cousins joining the family on the Andrews’ side, many bonds were close. They all shared a few hobbies within the two families – the love of outdoors of fishing and hunting and cooking in the kitchen and out on the pit.
Shawn worked as a pipe fitter for CMI and ICS earlier on then Armstrong Steam all over the country USA then he worked for Kelly Services pipe designing for DOW several years then pipe fitter and Foreman for Zachary at BASF and Dow then back to Kelly Services pipe designing for DOW Chemical all over Southeast Texas ....
Shawn’s hobbies into fishing tournaments, hunting, and cook-offs with Allen Agnew and Scott Ling, which later involved his wife Marla and Mikey and Johnny into tournaments and hunting. Throughout these adventurous times, he taught Marla and the boys the importance of fending for themselves, safety and the importance of extended family.
The fact of his dad and his twin, Don marrying sisters was the uniqueness of his hobbies. Friends became extended family by the love of interests – fishing, hunting and cooking. While his adventures progressed through the years, his extended family did as well. Through his many co-workers, Shawn was loved by many and his love of nature and wisdom. There will be a void in many of our lives and cherished memories and life lessons felt through the rest of our lives.
Shawn spent years teaching his boys fishing, cooking, gardening, building a greenhouse with water connection, hunting and being a handy man around the house. They will forever have this influence in their lives from the love that he shared through these hobbies.
