Ryan Elizabeth Smith

June 23, 1988 — August 3, 2025

Ryan Elizabeth Smith, age 37, of Brazoria, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on August 3, 2025. Born on June 23, 1988, in Galveston, Ryan lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure.

She married the love of her life, Alvie Lee Smith, on April 10, 2010, in Wild Peach, Texas. Together, they built a home in Brazoria and welcomed two beautiful daughters: Harlie Rayn on April 11, 2011, and Dahkotah Rylee on June 27, 2013.

Growing up, Ryan was a spirited and active young woman. She found joy in cheerleading, softball, raising livestock, and fishing—especially at Harris Reservoir, where she made cherished memories with her cousins during family gatherings. A proud graduate of Columbia High School (Class of 2006), Ryan later earned her Phlebotomy certification, dedicating herself to helping others.

Ryan’s greatest joy was her family. She, Alvie, Harlie, and Dahkotah shared countless adventures, especially kayaking and traveling together, always seeking the next waterway or scenic escape. Known for her open heart and generous spirit, Ryan was someone who would go out of her way to help anyone in need—no matter the circumstance.

She is preceded in death by her beloved Pops, Vernon Schneider Sr.; Maw-maw, Glenda Schneider; brother, Josh Schneider; sister-in-law, Cissy Schneider; great-grandmother, Jessie Scallorn; Uncle, Bobby Dawon; and Niece, Chelsi Schneider.

Ryan leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. She is survived by her devoted husband, Alvie Lee Smith; daughters Harlie and Dahkotah Smith; Father Rodney Schneider and wife Sherry; Mother Marlo (Peters) Lieb and husband Frank; siblings Vernon “Jr” Schneider and wife Sherry, Dewayne Schneider, Samantha Mays and husband Chris, Aron Savoie and wife Chelse, Chelse Knight, and Kailyn Knight; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a wide circle of friends and loved ones who will forever treasure her memory.
