Obituary

Ronald “Ronnie” Lynn Craig

August 15, 1947 – March 24, 2026

Ronald Lynn Craig, 78, of Brazoria, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, in Galveston. He was born on August 15, 1947, in Uvalde, Texas.

Ronnie was a devoted husband, father, and Poppa —a true family man who took great pride in those he loved. He married the love of his life, Anita Marie (Duplessis) Craig, on December 17, 1983, in Brazoria, Texas, and together they built a life centered on family, hard work, and lasting memories.

Known affectionately as “Poppa” to his grandchildren and “Turtle” by his daughter Cheri, Ronnie was a man of many talents and simple pleasures. He was an avid collector and seller of cast iron cookware, loved reading, enjoyed ranching, and spent his younger years fishing. He never needed a bicycle—after all, he had a horse. He cherished attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and was always present for the moments that mattered most.

Ronnie was a skilled craftsman who loved building furniture and working with his hands. He took pride in maintaining the family vehicles and keeping up the yard. A true “man’s man,” he was also known for his love of smoking meat, barbecuing, and his appreciation for a good slice of pecan pie.

He is survived by his loving wife, Anita Craig; his children, Robert Jones; Cheri Locke (Stephen); K’Lynn Dubose (John); Dawn Moore; and Brandi Jones (Jennifer); his siblings, David Craig (Sylvia) and Karen Bullard (Johnny); and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Echo Coe (Thomas), Landen Locke, Levi Locke, Jordan Dubose (Krystal), Jimmy Moore (Lucy), Amber Farley, Marcus Brandon Moore, Kolby Gonzales (Emily), D’andra Sifuentes (Stephen), David Gonzales; Jet Dubose, Andy Coe, Tenley Coe, Abbie Farley, Allie Farley, Karson Jones, Trevor Moore, Lilly Moore, Kayson Moore, Ashton Gonzales, Juniper Gonzales, Zoey Sifuentes, Brysen Sifuentes, and Nolan Blevins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Marshall Craig and Helen (Bain) Craig, and his daughter, Diane Craig.
