Roel Garcia, 65, of Angleton passed away on April 29, 2025. Roel began his life journey on October 19, 1959, in Alice, Texas when he was born to Baudilio and Celia Garcia.
He met Rhonda Bridges in 1987 and had no doubt that this was the woman that he would marry. They were wed in December of 1987. After Rhonda’s passing in July 2024, a giant void was left in his life. They are now reunited.
Roel went to San Diego highschool. He made good grades and excelled at everything he did. He played football, golf and took a welding class. He liked welding so much it became his passion. He was a turbine welder for many years working for companies such as GE, Turbocare, Ethos and Siemens.
Those that preceded him in death include his wife Rhonda Garcia, his parents Baudilio and Celia Garcia, and his granddaughter Charlene Campbell.
Left to remember him are his children: Victor R. Garcia and wife Audra, Steven W. Garcia and wife Jenny, and Stephanie Garcia; siblings: Bobby Garcia, Jimmy Garcia and wife Margeret Garcia, Rosie and husband Javier Soliz, and Gracie and husband Hector Perez. Grandchildren: Walker, Noah, Xander, Kingston, Taylor, and Robert; great grandchildren: Salem, Juliette, and Charlie-Jack; and numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. with the Memorial Service following at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Palms Funeral Home with Donnie Brantly officiating.
