Robert Curtis Kiefer II, 88, of Angleton, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on October 25, 2025. He was born on December 5, 1936, in Gonzales, Texas, and was raised on his family’s farm in Dilley, Texas- a place that nurtured his lifelong dedication to farming. Throughout his life, Bob also pursued a variety of other vocations that reflected his interests and adventurous spirit, including shrimping, construction, ranching, bowling, and pipefitting.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Bob was known for his larger-than-life personality and his green thumb. Each spring, he planted a garden that nourished not only his family but also countless friends and neighbors.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Judith Kiefer; his daughter, Terri Stephens, and her husband, Mark; his son, Robert Kiefer III, and his wife, Grace; his grandson, Dillon Stephens; as well as his granddaughters, Allison Stephens and her husband, Austin Upton; Alexandra Fraser and her husband, Deane, and their three children; and Leslie LaChance.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 30, at 10:00 a.m. at Angleton Cemetery.
