He was born on April 6, 1947 in Velasco/Freeport, Texas to Eddie and Beatrice Mills. Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Palms Funeral Home. The family welcomes friends for a time of visitation on Monday, July 24, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Burial will take place in Angleton Cemetery. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Debi Mills, his three children; Jimmy Mills (wife, Dayna), Gina Wilson (husband, Rob), and Eddie Mills, his eight grandchildren; Marcus Roberts (wife, Burgundy), Eric Mills, Tifini Abshire, Kristopher Mills (wife, Darvy), Dustin Abshire, Ryder Mills, Masyn Mills, and Adilyn Wilson, his great-granddaughter, Reign Roberts, sisters; Brenda Andrews and Eddie Raye Andrews (husband, Donald) along with numerous nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; Eddie and Beatrice Mills, sister, Joan Tunstall.
