Richard "Duke" Wayne Cole

June 22, 1956 — April 25, 2024

Richard “Duke” Wayne Cole, 67 of West Columbia, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024. He was born June 22, 1956, in La Marque, Texas to Ed and Helen Cole.

Richard graduated from West Columbia High School in 1976, where he received best offensive player of the year during his high school football career. He loved watching westerns, football, deer hunting and fishing with Jen, and riding four-wheelers with the kids and grandkids.


Memorial Services with be held May 4, 2024, at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with the Service following at 11:00 a.m.


Richard is survived by children T-Ray White and wife, Tanya; Brandi Hargrave and husband, Jay; Cody Cole and wife, Marcia; brother Larry Cole and wife, Laura; brother Mike Cole and wife, Debbie; Sister Linda Moody and husband, Karl; grandchildren, Tanner White; Tatum White; Alyssa Ryan; Jacy Hargrave; Lilly Hargrave; Lane Cole; Cheyenne Cole; Christian Cole; along with numerous nieces and nephews.


He is preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Helen Cole.


Immediately following the Memorial Service there will be a Celebration of Life being held at Dad’s (Richard) House.
