Richard Albert Dix, 63, passed away on July 8, 2026, in Houston, Texas. He was born on March 12, 1963, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to his late parents, Richard and Mary (Diviney) Dix.
Richard was preceded in death by his beloved brothers, Larry Wayne Dix and Eddie Allen Dix.
He is survived by his loving sister, Helen Hall and her husband, Mike, Sr., as well as his cherished nieces and nephews: Michael William Hall, Jr. and family, Travis Heath Hall, Ethan Adam Hall, Elizabeth Michelle Hall, and Brooklyn Makayla Hall.
Richard was a man of many interests and passions. He enjoyed cooking and traveling, always appreciating the opportunity to experience new places and cultures. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he worked as an Army Dental Specialist, a role he carried out with honor and dedication.
Education was a source of great pride for Richard. He valued learning and personal achievement and was especially proud to have graduated from the University of Houston.
Richard will be remembered for his service to his country, his love for his family, and the pride he took in his accomplishments throughout his life. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 9:45 a.m. at Houston National Cemetery on Friday, July 17, 2026.
