Ray West Foster, age 56, of Danbury, Texas, passed away peacefully in his home. He was born on October 10, 1969, to Freddie Foster and Brenda Kitchens.

Ray spent the last 30 years living in Danbury, a place he proudly called home. A man of faith, Ray was a devoted Christian whose strength and kindness left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.

On August 24, 2019, Ray married the love of his life, Marci Foster, in Danbury, where their story together began and grew into a life full of love, laughter, and family.

Ray was a man of many passions — he loved hunting, fishing, rodeoing, barbecuing, and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. His happiest moments were those shared around the grill, in the woods, or by the water with the people he loved most.

He is survived by his wife, Marci Foster; his mother, Brenda Kitchens; his sons, Coltin Foster and Alex Berkman (wife, Rachael Berkman); his daughter, Chelsea Hobbs (husband, Jarrett Hobbs); his brothers, Charlie Foster and Shane Kitchens; and his sister, Kelly Luna (husband, Homer Luna).

Ray was a proud and loving Papa to Braedon Vest, Emilia Hobbs, Owen Hobbs, Savannah Berkman, and Elliott Berkman, who were his greatest joy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Freddie Foster, and his Step-Father, Tom Kitchens, whom he now rejoins in eternal rest.

Ray’s legacy will live on through the stories shared, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Palms Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with burial to follow at Danbury Cemetery.
