Patti departed this life to join our Heavenly Father on Monday, October 12, 2026, at the age of 81. She was born on May 7, 1945 to Orba Mae and C. P. Snider, the second youngest of twelve children. After graduating from Central Independent High School in Pollock, Texas, she met and married the love of her life, Charles Gable Harris at the Pollock Baptist Church. Together, they built a life centered on Christ and poured their hearts into raising their treasured daughter, Michaela, in a strong Christian household. They shared 44 wonderful years of marriage before the Lord called Charles home. A lifelong learner with an incredibly empathetic heart, Patti went back to school to pursue her passion for helping others, receiving both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Social Work from Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches. She channeled her education into a deeply fulfilling career in hospice care, providing comfort, dignity, and peace to countless individuals and families during their most difficult moments. Patti had a joyful personality and was a true adventurer at heart. In her younger days, you could find her hitting the ski slopes and soaking up the sun at the beach. That love for adventure grew into a passion for traveling and exploring the world, from the wilderness of Alaska to the historic streets of Paris. She had a wonderful eye for fashion, loved nothing more than a good shopping spree, and always felt her absolute best with her hair freshly styled and her nails painted in her favorite shade of pink. Patti and Charles both shared a love for animals, especially their dogs, Freckles and Pepper. Above all, she firmly believed that life was meant to be sweet, which naturally meant making sure each and every meal ended with dessert (preferably lemon or chocolate). Patti's absolute greatest joy in life was her family. Being an adoring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother were her most cherished roles. She deeply loved her grandson and great-grandson, and she took every opportunity to spoil them. A devoted Christian, Patti lived out her faith daily and was a member of the Community Baptist Church in Danbury, Texas. She will be forever remembered for her loving, kind, and incredibly generous spirit.
