In Loving Memory
of
Patrick Wallace Gaines
May 7, 1954 – October 5, 2025
Wallace Gaines, age 71 of Richwood, TX passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family, Sunday, October 5th 2025. Wallace was born on May 7, 1954 at Dow Hospital in Freeport, TX to parents Tom and Jeanine Gaines. He married the love of his life, Radonna. He was a graduate of Angleton High School and worked for Dow as a respected I&E technician until his retirement.
Wallace was a beloved husband, father (Pops), son, brother, grandfather, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was an avid and dedicated hunter who found peace and joy in the woods pursuing the perfect deer with patience. He is known to have shot and killed a deer from 200 yards without a scope. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing down by the creek behind his house, sitting on his deck, and tending to his vegetable garden. Wallace could also be seen mowing his lawn most evenings and mulching his leaves. To know Wallace was to know a man of few words, quick wit, and strong-will.
Wallace is preceded in death by his parents, brother Brian Gaines, and his daughter Angela Gaines-Thompson.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife: Radonna Gaines; his children: Lauren Jones (Joby), Robert Harrison (Sabrina), Jared Harrison (Meredith), grandchildren: Rayden, Raylee, Nolan, and Elizabeth, brother Tommy Gaines (Belinda), and sister Barbara Hutto (Bubba), sister-in-law Debbie Gaines, brother-in-law David Harrison (Tina), and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express our deepest gratitude for your loving support during this time. Special thanks go out to IPH nurses and staff, and Ruby Castillo for the exceptional care they provided during his illness.
Visitation will begin at 10:00am, Friday, October 10, 2025 followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00am at Palms Funeral Home, 2300 E Mulberry Angleton, TX 77515 with Associate Pastor Sonny Bowman officiating.
