Michael Joseph Paukner, 34, of Angleton, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on August 1, 2026. He was a loving father, son, brother, and friend, and his presence will be deeply missed.

Michael was born in Wharton, Texas on November 21, 1991, to David and Barbara Paukner. He graduated from Angleton High School in May 2010. Michael attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Oklahoma on a golf scholarship, later graduating from the Professional Golfers Career College in Florida in August 2014 with a degree in Professional Golf Management.

He dedicated his life to his 3 children, family, and friends. Michael was an avid golfer, and loved to cook, especially his ribs, fried turkey, and crawfish. Michael had the biggest heart of anyone; we always said, “he was the heart of the family”, which is and always will be true.

Michael is survived by his children, Ainsley, Audrey, and Ace Paukner of Angleton, Texas; his dad, David Paukner (Wanda) of Angleton, Texas; his mom, Barbara Paukner of Richwood, Texas; his sisters, Crystal Wilson of Angleton, Texas, and Lisa Paukner of Dallas, Texas; and his niece and nephew; Olivia and Charlie Wilson, of Angleton, Texas. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, David Paukner, Sr., Doris Strand Paukner, Victor Ray Hubenak, and Elizabeth Staha Hubenak; and stepmom, Diana Paukner.

A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at Palms Funeral Home (2300 E. Mulberry St., Angleton, Texas 77515) on September 19, 2026, with visitation at 10:00 am and service at 11:00 am.
