Michael J Komlosi

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share that our beloved father, Michael J. Komlosi, has left this earth to join the love of his life for eternity.

Mike started his adult life as a United States Marine and served honorably in the Vietnam War. Upon returning home, he started a family and began a lifelong career as a mechanic. He married the love of his life, Nellie B. Maddex, on July 18, 1978 and they raised a beautiful family together. After retiring from his main career, he worked until his second retirement for the Brazosport and Angleton school districts as a bus mechanic and substitute driver.

He is survived by their children Debbie Lee Paz (Joe), Natalie J. Komlosi (John Ducote), Michael Komlosi (Laura Medina), Stephen Komlosi (Buffy), Danette Thomas (Devin Armstrong) and Fred Komlosi (Whitney Hunter). Also left to miss him are grandchildren Adam, Valerie, Sierra, Alexandra, Joshua, Emiliy, James, David, Austin, Christopher, Eddie, Anna, Mariah, Grayson, Caleb, Taylor and Margot. Great grandchildren are A.J., Brilee, Grayson, Addison, Carson, Iris, Jezzalynn, Anais, Titus, Colston, Keaston, Paislee and Hadley, and Mike’s sister Suzanna Ungru, niece Jenny Goodin and nephew Jacob Stuart.

Waiting to greet Mike in the afterlife next to Nellie are his parents Joseph J. and Eddie Dean Komlosi, his brother Joseph E. Komlosi, and grandchildren Travis Cisneros, Crystal Cisneros and Brandon Paz.

Mike enjoyed family trips, boating, water skiing and holidays with his young family. In recent years, he traveled with Nellie to see the sights around the country, tended to their multitude of outside cats and spent time tinkering around the house and watching Westerns. He shared his love of the U.S. Marine Corps and honorably represented them as a retired veteran throughout his life.

Services will be held at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, TX with Visitation on Friday, July 25, 2025 from 5pm to 7pm and Funeral Services on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at noon. Interment will follow at Angleton Cemetery.
