Mary Jane Levrier, 70, a beloved mother, grandmother, friend, mentor and caretaker of Angleton, TX passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on January 5, 2026. She was born on July 26, 1955, in Brownsville, TX to Eleodoro and Paula (Tomelloso) Levrier.
Mary Jane was a beacon of kindness, warmth and unconditional love. She was a true lighthouse - she was incredibly steadfast and resilient, courageous and faced the adversities life presented with calm, grace and dignity.
She dedicated her life to her family, instilling in them the values of family, honesty, humility, integrity and respect, excellence in work and effort, compassion and empathy for those in need, valuing others perspectives, courage to face fear and to do what's right, generosity in kindness, time and resource, loyalty and faithfulness to people and fairness by treating all equally.
Mary Jane was a graceful and kind soul with a servant’s heart and lived her life through love in action which showed greatly in the care that she gave to those that she took care of.
She lived her life in God's will, her character was of humility, selflessness, compassion, empathy with a willingness to help others and found true joy in uplifting those around her.
She enjoyed being around her family and friends, traveling to the Rio Grande Valley and California to visit beloved family as well as attending live Tejano music concerts, weddings, quinceaneras and dancing with her partner of 28 years, Robert. She also enjoyed her puzzles and being everyone's #1 fan on Facebook.
Those that preceded her in death include her parents Eleodoro & Paula Levrier, her beloved daughter Alejandra Michelle Rivera and her siblings: Eleodoro Levrier Jr., Luis Levrier, Maria (Lulu) Levrier Diaz, Guadalupe Levrier, Francisco Levrier, and George Levrier.
Left to treasure her memory is her Partner Roberto Garza; Children Raul Rivera Jr. (Caitlin), Edward Rivera (Alma), Andrea Contreras (Mando), Angela Giesecke, Adriana Rivera (Joel), Grandchildren; Brittney Luna, Eddie Rivera, Savannah Contreras, Jonathan Rivera, Kendra Contreras, Michael Rivera, Blake Giesecke, Greyson Giesecke, Cohen Giesecke, Jacob Cantu, Amelia Cantu, Jennifer Garza, Michael Garza, Mia Garza, Yammara Maciel, De-Anna Lawson, Idalis Lawson and Gabriel Lawson. Stepchildren; Suemmy Maciel and Cesar Garza (Sonia) as well as many beloved family members and special friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 5:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home, 2300 E Mulberry St, Angleton, TX 77515. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Palms Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Angleton Cemetery.
