Martha Cortez Villalobos, a beloved mother and grandma, passed away peacefully from natural causes on July 1, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on October 5, 1944, in Sebastian, Texas, Martha embodied the spirit of joy and warmth, brightening the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Martha dedicated her life to caring for others as a nurse aide in the healthcare industry. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her professional life to her family, where she was a devoted mother to her children: Matias Villalobos Jr., Abraham Cortez (Vanessa), Christina Villalobos, Terry Luna (Mike III), Linda Soto (Jose Jr.), Sandra L. Cortez, and Sofia Mosqueda (Juan), as well as a proud grandma and great-grandma to her multitude of grandchildren. Known for her vibrant personality, Martha loved to sing and dance, often lighting up the room with her laughter and charm. She had a flair for fashion, adorning herself in dazzling jewelry and sequined dresses, and was famously dubbed the ultimate fancy dresser—the star of every gathering. She will be lovingly remembered by her nine siblings and a multitude of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
