Maria Elena Villanueva Williams, 50, of Angleton, Texas, passed away on October 26, 2026. She was born on December 21, 1975, in Galveston, Texas, to Eluterio Villanueva and Elena Mosqueda.
Maria was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Although she had her challenges we find peace knowing she was saved and gave her life to God in her final moments. She continued to work toward a better future. She obtained her CNA certification and worked as a caregiver, dedicating her time to helping others.
Maria cherished every moment she could spend with her children and grandchildren. Her family held a special place in her heart, and the time she shared with them was among her greatest joys. She enjoyed her morning coffee, and dancing whenever she had the opportunity.
Though her family will deeply miss her presence, the memories they shared and the love she gave will remain in their hearts forever.
Maria was preceded in death by her father, Eluterio Villanueva; her brothers, Robert De Los Santos and Juan Davila; her uncle, Nasario Villanueva; and her granddaughter, Elena Mendoza.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, George Villanueva, Iris Salgado, Lorena Villanueva (Autumn Villanueva) , Rigo Mendoza (Summer Myers), Victor Mendoza (Taia Trevino), Luis Flores (Kayden Melton), and Angela Flores (Diego Delgado).
Also cherishing her memory are her 24 grandchildren.
She is also survived by her husband Guillermo Williams, her cousins Dorinda Anderson , Yvette Villanueva, her mother, Elena Mosqueda; her siblings, Jose De La Santos, Guadalupe De La Santos, Dolores Garza, Diana Garcia and her husband, Gertrudis Garcia, Lawrence Davila, and Jessica Mosqueda and her husband, Robert Mosqueda.
Maria's memory will live on through the many lives she touched, the love she shared, and the beautiful memories her family will continue to carry with them. “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. John 11 : 25-26.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved by her family, and numerous others although she is not present here in body we rest knowing she will live on for eternity.
