Maria Elva Rodriguez de Fernandez, 61, of Danbury, Tx passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019 in her home after a long battle to colon cancer. Maria Elva was an active woman who found passion in helping others. She was a devoted mother, wife, and grandmother who will be greatly missed by many who knew her. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 Friday, March 15, 2019 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Danbury. Burial will follow at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening on March 14 from 5:30-6:30 with Rosary at 6:30 at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Tx. Mrs. Fernandez was born September 5, 1957 in Nieves, Zacatecas Mexico to Guadalupe & Rebecca Hernandez Rodriguez. Her parents preceded her in death. Survivors include: her husband, Pedro Fernandez; Two daughters: Roxanne Fernandez and Rebecca Fernandez-Ibarra, from Danbury; Brothers: Ismael Rodriguez from Mexico & Carlos Rodriguez from Houston; Sister: Rosy Gonzalez from Houston.
