Margaret Nichols

Margaret Nichols, age 51, passed away on January 10, 2026. She was born on May 9, 1974, in Huntsville, Texas, to Richard and Sandra (Corley) Nichols.

Margaret was a caring, compassionate soul who deeply loved helping people and animals. In her earlier years, she proudly served her community as both a Police Officer and an EMT, roles that reflected her strong desire to protect and care for others. She carried that same giving spirit throughout her life.

She had a truly caring heart, a great sense of humor, and was known for being extremely funny. Margaret loved being involved in family functions whenever she was able, cherishing time spent with those she loved most. Her dogs, Prissy and Pugsley, held a special place in her heart and brought her much comfort and joy.

Margaret missed her beloved son, Ricky Nichols, terribly following his passing in 2012 at the age of 16. The bond they shared was profound, and her family wishes for everyone to remember Margaret in her prime—when she and Ricky were living their best life together. We are comforted knowing that they are reunited again.

Margaret was also preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Sandra Nichols.

She is survived by her sister, Kelly Nichols Russell, niece, Madison Russell, nephew, Michael Gifford, and her great-nephews and great-niece: Carson, Harrison, Maria and Tyler.
