Luis Mendez Martinez

Luis Mendez Martinez, 89, of Lake Jackson passed away on October 27, 2025. Luis was born on January 1, 1936, in Alaquines, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Serafin Mendez and Rosa Martinez.

Luis enjoyed spending time with his family and taking care of his farm animals.

Those that preceded him in death include his parents; wife Valentina Mendez; siblings Serafin Méndez, Jr., Silvano Méndez, Antonio Méndez, Ofelia Méndez; grandchildren, Romeo Sebastian Mendez and Eduardo Juan Campos.

Left to remember him are his children, Froilan Mendez, Rolando Mendez, Fabian Mendez, Emilio Mendez, Francisco Mendez, Baldomero Mendez, Juvenal Mendez, Florinda Mendez, Rosalinda Campos, and Oralia Mendez. He is also survived by numerous other family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Clute. Interment will follow at Angleton Cemetery.
