Obituary

Linda Sue Caldwell

December 5, 1947 ~ February 21, 2026

Linda Sue Caldwell, a cherished sister and friend, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on December 5, 1947, in the small town of Helenwood, Tennessee (Scott, County), Linda was a bright light in the lives of all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her kindness, compassion, and unwavering spirit. Linda grew up with a strong sense of family, forming lasting bonds with her siblings: her devoted sister, Edith Easley, and brothers, Rodger Caldwell and Dennis Bain. Together, they built a tapestry of memories that will continue to warm their hearts in the years to come.

After graduating from high school, Linda embarked on a career as a secretary, lending her skills to the office environment with grace and dedication. She brought warmth and professionalism to her role, touching the lives of colleagues along the way. Her laughter and wisdom brightened the workplaces she called home.

Linda made her home in Angleton, Texas, where she embraced the community and made many dear friends. While she found joy in her work, it was the simple moments spent with her loved ones that truly filled her life with purpose and meaning. Her spirit will live on in the stories shared and the memories cherished by those who knew her.

In keeping with Linda's wishes, her family will honor her life privately, for there will be no formal memorial services. Instead, they invite all who knew and loved her to take a moment to reflect on the joy she brought into their lives. Celebrate her legacy by cherishing the memories of laughter, warmth, and love that she left behind.

As we remember Linda, let us carry forward her spirit of kindness and compassion, honoring her legacy in our daily lives. May she rest in peace, forever in the hearts of those she loved.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents: Edith Ilena (Lee) Caldwell Bain and John Francis Caldwell, her brother’s: Johnny Ray Caldwell, Robert James “Bob” Caldwell, Jack Allen “Jackie” Caldwell, Curtis Lee “Butch” Bain (ABF 3 United States Navy Veteran), and her brother-in-law, Jerry Ralph Easley
