Kenneth “Kenny” Ray Hewitt

Kenneth Ray Hewitt, 76, of Angleton, Texas, passed away on March 6, 2026. He was born November 20, 1949, in Angleton to Grant and Norma Hewitt.
Kenny graduated from Angleton High School in 1968, where he lettered in football, basketball, and baseball. He remained a loyal fan of the Houston Astros, Texas Longhorns and the Angleton Wildcats throughout his life.
In 1969, Kenny joined the United States Air Force and served honorably as an air traffic controller until 1973. After his military service, he worked for Coca-Cola and later spent many years as a truck driver.
On January 1, 2000, he married Syble Marie (Westbrook) Hewitt, the love of his life. Kenny was a former member of Brazos Bend Baptist Church and enjoyed singing gospel music.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Syble; his parents, Grant and Norma Hewitt, and his brother William “Bill” Hewitt. He is survived by his sons Keith Hewitt and his wife Melanie, and Nolan Hewitt and his wife Tara, along with his grandchildren Brittany, Brendan, Haylea, Benaiah, Caleb, and David; and his brother Howard Hewitt, and his wife Marilou.
Kenny will be remembered for his love of sports, gospel music, and the life he lived in the community he called home.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 1:00–2:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas. Memorial Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Ronnie Pena officiating.
