Karen “Dianne” Foreman Southerland

Karen Dianne Foreman Southerland was born in Angleton Texas on August 10,1954, and grew up there until graduating from Angleton High School in 1972 when she went to college at east Baptist University.

Karen severed her country by joining the United States Air Force from 1973 till 1989. She held several jobs while taking care of her family but her most favorite job was announcing to everyone one in the car when she saw a cow in a pasture. She finally retired in 2015 from the state of Texas.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents: Lloyd Foreman Jr. and Jonni Lou Dial Foreman, her brother Lloyd Foreman III, and her sister Juliette Foreman Yingling.

Karen is survived by her husband James Southerland, her children: Timothy Montgomery, Jeremy Montgomery, and Scott Southerland, grandchildren: Jacob, Tiffani, and Jeremiah Montgomery, and great granddaughter Skylar Montgomery. Karen is also survived by her sister Martha Foreman Williams and several cousins, nephews and nieces.

The family welcomes friends for a time of visitation on Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home located at 2300 E. Mulberry Angleton, Texas 77515. Karen will be laid to rest at Houston National Cemetery on Friday, October 24, 2025.
