Julian “Apple” Segura

December 4, 1963 – October 14, 2025

Julian “Apple” Segura, 61, of Rosharon, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, surrounded by loved ones in Sugar Land, Texas. Born on December 4, 1963 in Freeport, Texas to his parents: San Pablo and Eloise (Hernandez) Segura, Apple was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend whose warmth, humor, and generous spirit left an unforgettable mark on everyone who knew him.

A proud 1982 graduate of Angleton High School, Apple continued his education at TSTI in Waco. He later dedicated many years of hard work and expertise as a Senior Tech for the City of Sugar Land. Known for his easy smile and deep love of life, Apple was happiest when firing up the grill for a BBQ, spinning music as a DJ, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros, or enjoying Sunday breakfast at El Jimador with his dad and sister.

On July 21, 2000, Apple married the love of his life, Debra Zuniga, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Missouri City, Texas. Their 25 years of marriage were filled with love, laughter, and devotion. Apple especially cherished the time he spent with their daughter, Evelyn Nannette Segura, who was the light of his life.

Apple is survived by his loving wife, Debra Zuniga; his daughter, Evelyn Nannette Segura; his father, San Pablo Segura; his sister, Sandra Ramos; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Toby and Irma Zuniga; and his niece, Kassandra Martinez (husband, Mauricio Jr.), and their daughters Alaia and Alianna Martinez.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Eloise (Hernandez) Segura; his brother, Paul Segura; and his nephew, Jordan Segura.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Apple’s life during visitation at Palms Funeral Home on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Mike Hammonds officiating also at Palms Funeral Home. Apple will be laid to rest at Angleton Cemetery.

Apple’s legacy is one of kindness, joy, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
