Juan Carlos Segueda Jr.
April 30, 1999 – May 13, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and immense love that we announce the passing of Juan Carlos Segueda Jr., age 26, of Freeport, Texas. Juan passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, warmth, and deep love for his family and friends.
Juan was the proud and devoted father of two beautiful children: Isaias Cardenas Segueda, age 7, and Aracely Lynn Segueda, age 1. His children were his entire world, and he poured his heart into being the best dad he could be. His face would light up anytime he talked about them, and his greatest joy was simply being their dad.
Raised in Freeport, Juan was known and loved by many. He had a way of connecting with everyone he met—easy to talk to, always smiling, always joking. He never met a stranger, only friends he hadn’t made yet. Whether he was with lifelong friends or meeting someone new, Juan made people feel welcome, seen, and appreciated.
He was the life of every gathering and the heart behind every barbecue. Juan loved to cook out—it didn’t matter if it was just a few people or a full house—he’d fire up the grill and turn it into a celebration. For him, it was never just about the food; it was about bringing people together. That was his dream—to keep the family close, united, and full of love.
Juan is survived by his loving mother Sylvia Vasquez, his father Luis Vasquez, and his siblings Alejandra Maldonado, Nydia Segueda, and Rafael Garza V. He was a son, a brother, and a friend who made everyone feel like family. He leaves behind nieces and nephews, grandparents, countless cousins, uncles, aunts, and friends whose lives he touched in his short time here.
Though Juan’s time with us was far too short, his memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him. His laughter, his kindness, and the love he gave so freely will never be forgotten. We will miss him dearly, but we will carry his spirit with us always— in shared smiles, and in every moment of togetherness.
Rest in peace, Juan. You were loved more than words can say, and your light will never fade.
