Josephine Rangel Kouches

Josephine Kouches, age 95, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on June 11th, 2025. She was born to Fella and Santos Rangel, and throughout her long life she was known for her sass and her strength.

Josephine was the beloved wife of the late Mike Kouches, together they raised four children Helen Bennett, Kenny Kouches, Karen Lugo (Cruz) and Kathy Kouches. She was a cherished grandmother to six grandchildren Kendall Meza (Tino), Chance Bennett (Natalie), Chelsea Robertson (Matthew), Mykah Kouches, Kaycee Garcia (Edgar) and Chandler Bennett and a proud Great grandmother to 13 grandchildren. Josephine is also survived by her loving siblings Becky Berlanga (Monty), Rachel Juarez (Joe), Helen Romero (Joe) and Richard Rangel (Carol).

She was preceded in death by her sister Mandy Randolph and her brothers Robert Rangel and Santos Jr Rangel.

Our family will remember her for her love, sassy ways and telling you like it is.

Her legacy lives on through the generations she nurtured and cared for.

Visitation will be held at Palms Funeral Home, 2300 East Highway 35 in Angleton on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 10:00 am, Rosary at 12:00 noon. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm and burial at 2:00 pm in Angleton Cemetery.
