In Loving Memory of Jose Hugo Garza, Sr.

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Jose Hugo Garza, Sr., who went to be with the Lord on October 1, 2025, at the age of 69 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Born on August 4, 1956, in Bay City, Texas, Jose lived a life marked by hard work, dedication, and love for his family.

Jose was a retired heavy machinery operator, a profession that showcased his strength and commitment to providing for his family. Although he completed his education by the sixth grade, his wisdom and life lessons are cherished by those who had the honor of knowing him.

Jose is survived by his beloved family and countless friends who will remember him for his warm spirit, unwavering support, and kind heart. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched. Survivors include his children: Jose Hugo Garza Jr. (wife, Nena), Patrick Garza Alfredo Diaz and Irma Garza, his grandchildren: Melissa Garza, Christian Garza, Mario Garcia, Joey Garcia, Reva Diaz and Joshua Diaz, his sisters: Dora Lasoya, Mary Ann Pate, Tina Cuna, and Lolita Garza.

Those preceding Jose in death are his parents: Romauldo and Margarita (Rios) Garza, wife, Cita (Diaz) Garza, and his siblings: Maria Solis, Juana Lopez, and Henry Garza

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Palms Funeral Home on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 3:00 PM. A funeral service celebrating his life will follow at 4:00 PM at the same location.

Jose Hugo Garza, Sr. will be greatly missed but fondly remembered. May he rest in peace.
