John Reynard Weatherly

John Reynard Weatherly, 78 of Angleton, Texas passed away on July 12, 2026. John was born on July 1, 1948 to Tom & Dorothy Miller Weatherly in Austin, Texas.

John went to Lamar High School then attended Southern Illinois University where he received his Bachelor of Science. He proudly served his country as a sergeant in the United States Army. He was a salesperson for Sysco Foods. He loved spending his time golfing, fishing and watching Fox News.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Woods Weatherly; son, John Weatherly & wife Natalie; daughter, Jennifer Weatherly; stepsons, Gary Cox & Terry Cox; grandchildren Jack Weatherly and Caroline Weatherly, niece and nephew: Gina Johnson Ford, and James Johnson, as well as many other family & friends.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas Funeral services will be on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 10:00 am. at Greater Heights Baptist Church in Angleton, Texas with Pastor Jeff Lege officiating. Burial will follow at 1:45 pm at Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
