IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John Frank
Arroyo
August 2, 1952 – December 29, 2025
John Arroyo, lovingly known as husband, Daddy, Pawpaw, and “Mex,” was born on August 2, 1952, he entered through the gates of Heaven on December 29, 2025, surrounded by his family.
John was born in Sinton, Texas, to Elena and Francisco Arroyo. He was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas where he later moved to Alvin, Texas and met the love of his life, Sandy Arroyo. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised two beautiful daughters, Amanda and Katie, who were his greatest pride.
John was a hardworking lineman who dedicated 45 years of service to CenterPoint Energy before retiring. He never met a stranger and had a gift for making everyone feel like a friend. A true jack of all trades, John could fix just about anything, or at least tell you exactly how to do it.
He cherished life’s simple joys: Jeep rides with Sandy, traveling, hunting, fishing, watching his grandson play baseball, cheering on his granddaughter at dance, and most of all, chasing his youngest grandson around with a smile that said it all.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Sandy Arroyo, daughter Amanda Cobb, son-in-law Kerry Cobb, daughter Katie Munro and son-in-law Mason Munro, grandchildren Grayson Cobb, Elena Cobb, and Graham Munro. Sister Mary Moir, brother John Henry Willhite, and sister Delma Cherry.
He is preceded in death by his mother Elena Whillhite, his father Francisco Arroyo, his twin brothers Rudy and Ruben Arroyo, and stepfather Jay Willhite.
John will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his generous heart, his steady presence, and the deep love he had for his family. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the family he loved so well.
